It’s been a long wait between sailings so after a 10 year break, we were delighted to sponsor The Property Council’s regatta again. On Thursday15th March 2018, the sold-out event returned to Auckland’s Waitamata Harbour in its best form yet. At 3pm racing started. Both keel boats and multihulls competed over a course of approx. 400m. With 20 teams in the regatta, the AlexanderDorrington boat came a respectable 13th. AlexanderDorrington Director, Denise Marsden and myself were on board along with a crew of our most seaworthy clients. Our Hawaiian outfits looked awesome but we were outdone by RCP, who won best dressed in their blue and white sailor suits. Racing to the finish line was almost as close as the race to the buffet table. Cocktails and dinner, served at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, followed the racing. The trophy was presented to race winners, Dominion Construction for their outstanding performance. Auckland Branch Manager of the Property Council, Anna Muller, said they were excited to host the return of this hugely successful event and the team at AlexanderDorrington very much enjoyed being part of it again.
